"Our darkest moments are the               birthplace of our greatest victories!"                                                             - Roy Juarez Jr. - CEO

We have provided you with a few comments from some of our friends!

The first time I saw Roy speak was my freshman year at Eastlake high school. He was absolutely fantastic! He touched all of our lives, even the students whom did not seem to care! Personally, he gave my life perspective when I thought I was lost! Roy is humble and sweet on and off stage. Off stage he is accessible and willing to help! His story has a message that can be related by all. Roy is a wonderful human being that gives “his all” to help others. I would greatly encourage everybody to hear him speak it’s something that will change the way you see life, a change for the better!

Roy has spoken at Legacy High School twice as well as Cathedral of Joy church, both in Tri-Cities WA. Roy connects with students and adults alike and you can hear a pin drop when he's telling his story. My students live rough lives but Roy gives strength to them to move past their obstacles and succeed in life! We look forward to having him back soon!!

Roy Juarez came to Cesar Chavez Middle School and connected with our students from the first words out of his mouth. Our students struggle with the same things that Roy does, so he was able to put hope in their hearts and allow them to trust in their teachers. We are all in this together. Si Se Puede!

Roy Juarez, Jr., came to visit the students in our school district’s alternative schools and talk about his difficult youth with these students who have many difficulties in their own lives. His earnest caring for the students, who might not have been homeless but nonetheless may have come from troubled homes, was clearly evident to all present. The students were able to identify with his struggles and appreciate his triumph all the more. His presentation touched many of these students who had appeared cynical as they first walked into the room, defying anyone to teach them anything! Their overwhelming acceptance of Roy at the end of his presentation was indeed moving!

I saw Roy speak at the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute's National Conference in 2012 and he was absolutely phenomenal. Not only was he a fantastic orator with great stage presence, but he emotionally touched me in a way most orators have not. Roy's story is incredibly relatable and possesses a universal lesson. He is also very approachable when off stage. I would encourage everyone to hear him speak.

Today september 13th 2017 roy came to my school "mesquite high school" and told us his story. I've never cried during a speech before, Roy made me cry so much I couldn't stop even after he was done talking. I could relate to Roy, my mom decided that wanted her boyfriend and drugs over her own kids, I am the oldest of 9. i was always taking care of my brothers and sisters, when I was 12 I was taken away from my mom and my siblings and I were separated and haven't seen them since.

Roy has made me realize that I want a better life and want to create a better life for my siblings. Thank you Roy for opening my eyes and making me realize that even in the situation that I was in, that I can keep dreaming and to never give up no matter how hard life gets.

    Thank you again Roy!

  • Peggy Stull (Thursday, April 07 16 04:03 pm EDT)

My teacher daughter and I heard Roy speak at Yerba Buena HS in San Jose. His story is so powerful that, several months later we were talking about a part of the story and were trying to recall what
movie it was in that we had watched. His story is so powerful that it was living in our heads as a visual memory created by his words. It's a story of overcoming incredible obstacles in addition to
being an amazing lesson about forgiveness. He's a "don't miss" opportunity.

  • Jassure (Monday, September 22 14 10:57 pm EDT)

I wanted to tell you in person how inspiring you were but I couldn't sum up the right words in person. I connected to your story. My mother left my siblings and me for a man and I never understood
how a mother could do that. At first I was bitter then I learned to forgive her. Both my parents had physical and verbal altercations and it broke me inside. I too had cops at my house all the time.
Your story touched me. You're incredible. Continue to share your story with the world. Thank you for coming to Western Oregon University. You've motivated me to be a better person.

  • Samantha Skubal (Monday, September 15 14 11:54 am EDT)

Roy came to speak to the Plano AVID district event today and i was beyond touched. His life journey is so touching and i cannot begin to express how i felt hearing the story. His entire speech, i had
my boyfriend next to me holding my hand and i could not stop crying and squeezing his hand because i could relate to so much of it. His story defiantly inspired me to keep staying strong and to stay
focused. I defiantly look forward to seeing him again if possible.

Hi Roy, I heard your story, and never imagine that someone I knew as a kid, was going through something like this! I'm still in shock! None the less, it has opened many doors, my 17 year old son has
a very close friend, who like you, has problems at home was told he had to leave! Where does an 18 young man go? Well, I welcomed him in to my home, in hopes that he will not fall into more
heartache! And can have a shot at college, he really wants to be a doctor, any others suggestions you recommend for me to help this friend of ours!
